Owned & Operated by Cliff & Sylvia Caskey ~ San Marcos, Texas

Caskey Orchards is a small family owned and operated orchard specializing in sweet, tree-ripened freestone peaches.  We are located in Hays County, Texas about four miles south of San Marcos. During the harvest season which runs from  mid-May to mid-August,  we market our fresh picked, tree-ripened peaches at local Farmer's Markets in San Marcos, New Braunfels, and Austin.  Since we do not grow or sell our peaches for shipping to the commercial markets, we can leave them on the trees until they have reached perfect ripeness.  Our regular customers no longer send their family and friends to Fredericksburg for peaches to take back home. They  tell them we have the most wonderful peaches right here in San Marcos.  In addition to the many varieties of peaches that we produce throughout the growing season, we also grow plums, nectarines, apricots, apples, pears, figs, and pecans.  Cliff currently serves as president of San Marcos/New Braunfels Farmer's Market Association and is past-president and current director of Texas Fruit Grower's Assn.  Sylvia is a past-board member of Texas Fruit Grower's Assn., past-secretary/treasurer of San Marcos/New Braunfels Farmer's Market Assn., and served as market manager for seven years When grandson Scottie was born, she gave it all up to be a full-time Gam'ma.

When is a peach ripe and ready to eat?     When the juice runs down your arm and drips off your elbow.  That's the kind of peaches you get from Caskey Orchards.  Our customers call them "bathtub peaches."  That's right...they say you have to set in the bathtub to eat 'em.
